Murals of historic Alpine events

In the Ice Palace - we were the first ones there and pretty much had the place to ourselves

Out on the viewing platform

Yes, it was freezing up there. He was willing to suffer for posterity.

Sam was in shorts. Very cold.
Josh and I went sledding on the glacier. We raced. He was faster at the top, but I got to the bottom first.
We rode back up the top on this conveyor belt inside a glass tunnel. We would sit or lie on the belt along with our sleds. I needed that rest time to recover, because being at high altitude was pretty tiring.

Ted and I did an afternoon hike. It was supposed to be a stroll, but grew into a 3+ hour out of Wengen, most of the way to Wengeneralp, then down near the tracks

Sundial shows it was almost 5

we were warned to avoid the cows, as they are protective of their calves. But we were blocked by a herd of a them.

The cow-warning sign

The restaurant at Almend was closed, but we were relaxed on their patio for a moment anyway
